The good news: we have a very realistic path to the #5 seed and a matchup with CMU in Cleveland.
The bad news: it requires help from the Rockets.
How we get there:
- BG wins @WMU and vs BSU, two games that if we don't win, what are we even doing in Cleveland.
- Miami goes 0-2 vs Toledo and OU
- Kent goes 1-1 or 0-2 @BSU and @Toledo.
Nothing crazy really, if the favorites hold serve we'll have a nice winnable/revenge game next Thursday in Cleveland

Very possible. Just too bad a win last week at home vs. Miami would have basically made it happen.

Not trying to be a Debbie downer here, just looking at the standings and noticing something…
Is it possible we don’t even make it to Cleveland? Like if we lose both games this week, is it possible we finish 9th?
I wanna win both and go into the tournament with some momentum and a prayer, but I’m sweating it a little more than I want to admit.

Bowling Green would have to lose out, Ball State win out, Kent St. lose out, to not make the tournament I believe.

Re: MAC tourney seeding
A win tonight plus a toledo win (home vs Kent) or Miami loss (home vs OU) will have us as the 5 seed against CMU.
In short, we own the tiebreaker vs Miami if Toledo is the #1 seed, but Miami would reclaim the tiebreaker if Akron ends up as the #1.
With a loss, we could still get the #5 if toledo and OU both win, or could drop all the way to #7 if both of those results go the other way.
Let's just take care of business tonight!

A matchup with cmu is strongly preferred for me. That's a very winnable game then we can see how everything falls
