There are about 363 schools in Division I. Just eight have been trying and failing to get to the NCAA tournament for as long or longer than Bowling Green, which has now gone 56 years without an NCAA appearance.
The other schools suffering comparably to us:
-- Army -- West Point has never been to the NCAA tournament. They have been eliminated from this year's Patriot League tournament.
-- The Citadel -- The Citadel has never been to the NCAA tournament. They have been eliminated from this year's Southern Conference tournament.
-- Maine -- The Black Bears have never been to the NCAA tournament. They have been eliminated from the America East tournament.
-- New Hampshire -- New Hampshire has never been to the NCAA tournament. They have been eliminated from the America East tournament.
-- William & Mary -- William & Mary has never been to the NCAA Tournament. They have been eliminated from the Coastal Athletic Association tournament.
-- Dartmouth -- Dartmouth last played in the NCAA tournament in 1959. They did not qualify for this year's Ivy League tournament.
-- Tennessee Tech -- Tennessee Tech last played in the NCAA tournament in 1963. They did not qualify for this year's Ohio Valley tournament.
-- Columbia -- Columbia last played in the NCAA tournament in 1968. They did not qualify for this year's Ivy League tournament.
Maybe next year will be different.

Pitiful....I remember seeing this list years ago when BG had a lot more company on here. Year after year teams fell of the list. But BG remains a mainstay!Schadenfreude wrote: ↑Sat Mar 16, 2024 6:57 pm There are about 363 schools in Division I. Re: The Schneid
Equally pitiful is seeing the list posted on here each and every year, then commenting about the list as if it is shocking that Bowling Green is on list. Each year they don't win the MAC Tournament they will reappear on the list. You will comment on the list every year as if all are still as shocked as you or give a rats ass about what happened in 1975. Want to get BGSU off the list? Donate some money for NIL. You can get them off the list much quicker these days. Instead you will post about the list.BGSU33 wrote: ↑Mon Mar 18, 2024 8:47 pmPitiful....I remember seeing this list years ago when BG had a lot more company on here. Division I has about 365 schools. Just eight have been trying and failing to get to the NCAA tournament for as long or longer than Bowling Green, which has now gone 57 years without an NCAA appearance.
Other schools suffering comparably to us include:
-- Army -- West Point has never been to the NCAA tournament. They have been eliminated from this year's Patriot League tournament.
-- The Citadel -- The Citadel has never been to the NCAA tournament. They have been eliminated from this year's Southern Conference tournament.
-- New Hampshire -- New Hampshire has never been to the NCAA tournament. They have been eliminated from the America East tournament.
-- William & Mary -- William & Mary has never been to the NCAA Tournament. They have been eliminated from the Coastal Athletic Association tournament.
-- Tennessee Tech -- Tennessee Tech last played in the NCAA tournament in 1963. They have been eliminated from the Ohio Valley tournament.
-- Columbia -- Columbia last played in the NCAA tournament in 1968. They did not qualify for this year's Ivy League tournament.
Keep an eye on:
-- Maine. They have never been to the NCAA tournament, but the 20-13 Black Bears are playing in the America East final against top-seed Bryan this weekend.
-- Dartmouth. Dartmouth has not made the tournament since 1959, but they face Cornell tomorrow in an Ivy League semifinal.
As for Bowling Green?
Maybe next year will be different.
