On Saturday, November 16, our Falcons (1-2) will next head to East Lansing, MI to take on the Michigan State Spartans (2-0). The game will tip off at 6:00pm, and will be available to watch on Big Ten Network.
MSU had 2 exhibition wins against Northern Michigan (on the road! Kudos to Tom Rizzo for that!) and Ferris State that were closer than one might expect (70-53 and 85-67) but they seem to have gotten things rolling up there with wider margin wins against both Monmouth and Niagara. If you are looking to see Sparty play, they have a Champions Classic game against Kansas tonight (11/12) at 6:30pm on ESPN.
Big opportunity for our guys. I don’t expect a particularly competitive contest, but I would be thrilled if we went up there and played them close. Go Falcons! Beat MSU!

Michigan State will enter this game off a 77-69 loss to #1 Kansas in Atlanta tonight.

While I am excited for this game, we will be severely undersized (as expected).
Thomas will be giving up 2 inches.
Campbell will be giving up 2 inches.
Khayat might have a 2 inch advantage.
Johnson will be giving up 4 inches.
Towns will be giving 3 inches.
This might be a game where we look back and see the turning point for the likes of Preston Squire.
Michigan State does not shoot the three well and we are hot from deep. Maybe a difference in keeping the game close.
No line yet, but I would imagine it will be in the 25 range.

Looking forward to how we compete in this one. I will be in attendance so it’ll be my first in person look at the new squad. Whether this game is competitive or not will be determined by how we rebound imo, izzo’s teams are always a physical bunch. Gotta do the dirty work if we’re going to stay in it.

The suspected middle of the MAC - BG, CMU, Miami - is looking a whole lot better right now than the top of the MAC -OU, Akron, Kent, Toledo - with only the Rockets looking decent in that bunch.
This game could push the Falcons up a peg or two in the eyes of many ...

Not a bad start so far. Johnson is special, offensively.

Well… not a bad start!
BG leads 17-9 at the first media timeout. Johnson’s touch is unreal.

Johnson is unlike anyone I have watched in a BG uniform. Doubt we can keep this up but great to see us finally come out red hot.

At the third media timeout, BG continues to lead 32-24. Yo-yo went down hurt there, didn’t see what happened.

Towns is showing his worth on the bench. With his 2 fouls were struggling now to get defensive rebounds

He’s like Deshaun Thomas was for Ohio State. A chubby guy who can hit shots from everywhere
