Daeqwon got called up to Atlanta this morning. He went off in his NBA debut. I’m sad I couldn’t watch the game. 7 of 8 shooting, 5 of 6 from three, netting 19 points in 25 minutes.

He was (IMO) definitely the 2nd best player of the Huger era here, and always had the most pro potential. (Although I think Dylan Frye is still rocking it out overseas as well). The only real bummer for his career is he wasn't capable of carrying the team his final year here. That sort of role just wasn't in his makeup. The team wasn't good with some pretty bad guard play; asking him to carry the load offensively his efficiency dipped quite a bit.mbenecke wrote: ↑Thu Jan 16, 2025 7:24 am Had a feeling he could be a role player in the NBA. He was a special player here - I would contend that he was a top 2-3 player of the Huger era, after Justin Turner? We had some really good talents, so I'm open to debate, but he would be up there on my list.
