2/1 @ CMU

Post by bghkyfan74 »

Down 11 with 3 minutes to go in the first half. I know Felt has been productive, but he’s an energy vampire. He walks everywhere, just meanders to the scorer’s table when he checks in, and if he gets tired, he’s about as useless as tits on a bull.

Something that is really getting to me is how the team walks out of the tunnel onto the court (they showed on TV tonight). I see it at the home games too. Just starts the game off on the wrong note.

Looks like no Butler on the bench and also no Coach Nairn.

I think they said butler had the flu but he's on the end of the bench. Nairn could have the flu as well

Defense has been awful tonight. With 2 minutes to go Simon was so mad at the effort that pardon and spurgin got subbed in. Squire also got his second run at that time

We’re getting blown out by a 9-11 CMU team.

I wish they would just cancel the rest of the season. No reason to tune in, no reason to care. This feels like Mike Jinks football.

Listened to the first 10mins on the radio. Haven't watched any of it. But giving up 49 first half points sounds about right for this squad.

There is no consistent accountability or effort on defense. They're lost more times than not. I don't know how you can become a d1 player and be this poor on defense but it is very clear this season that Simon thought he'd get as many offensive talented players together and teach them defense.

Ironically they suck offensively too most of the time due to just trying to get their own buckets. But it doesn't matter. The story is the same since game 1: when you play defense this poorly offense only serves to keep the games closer.

That plan is working now with 20 points in less than 7 minutes into the second half. Green has been a bright spot on offense so far. Looks more quick and athletic than anyone guarding him

Green is by far the best passer on this team. No clue why he hasn’t played more.

To no surprise that pace to start the second half didn't last

7 assists so far and Green has 3. We have 13 defensive rebounds to their 9 offensive rebounds. Lot of issues right now

Just heard that the whole team (including coaches) have been battling a flu outbreak for the past week. Nairn and Butler got the worst of it. The outbreak started at Miami and is still making its rounds.
