On Thursday night, our Falcons (1-0) will host Bethany College, with the game tipping off at 7:00pm. It'll be available to stream on ESPN+.
I can't tell you much about Bethany. They're a D3 school from West Virginia, and they haven't played a game yet - their schedule also actually lists this game as an exhibition. We realistically probably shouldn't even have this one on the schedule. Falcons should win by a lot, so I'm hoping we see continued effort at both ends of the floor, and maybe get some depth guys some run in this game.
Go Falcons! Beat Bethany.

I don't think it is unusual for these lower level teams to show the game as an exhibition on their own schedule. i've seen it before.

They are in a conference with 2 six team divisions. They are picked last and ranked 12th out of 12. They went 2-18 in conference last year.

Squire, Pardon and Spurgin are all in street clothes. So I guess that answers the question Jaxon's health.

BG leads 56-34 at halftime. Slow start as we rolled guys in and out and tried some things out, but we’re obviously a much better team and will run away with this. It’s a glorified scrimmage out there.

Any idea why Adem and Maxamud aren't getting off the bench?

BG won 120-65. Non-competitive game where we were just kinda working on stuff throughout.
14 guys played for BG. Campbell the leading scorer with 24.

Both got in late.
Adem was nondescript. Maxamud was laughably clumsy looking. Got to the line a couple times clanking all 4 but one ended up bouncing in.
I don't see much of why Goins gets real minutes but otherwise this team is looking like a pretty good group. Ran a ton of press today and it did directly lead to probably half of Bethany's points when they beat it but they ended up turning the ball over 30+ times with tons of easy buckets off the press.
Campbell looks great. Glover and Wol both look like really good players. I wish I saw a bit more dribble drive ability from our off guards/wings, but at this point that's picking nits.

Goins looks like the kid in elementary school that would hit someone in the face during dodgeball then screams Goins Rules!

Glover is the most active big guy with true length BGSU has had in some time. Agee was really good but not as long or near the defensive presence. Wol is an upgrade over Khayat. Especially, if he continues to use his length defensively. Ruffin is really steady and the ball is always moving well when he is on the court. Alot of talent, but have to stay healthy.
I think in most situations it will look like the 2nd half of Texas St. Goins didnt play much at all and Towns slides the the 5 and Wol plays more. Goins will play more against teams with real size when Glover rests or is in foul trouble.
