On Saturday, January 31st, our Falcons (13-8, 4-5 MAC) will next head up to Mt. Pleasant, MI to take on the Central Michigan Chippewas (6-15, 2-7 MAC). The game will begin at 7:00pm and will stream on ESPN+.

A little nervy about this one. We’re a better team than them (they’re literally last in the MAC standings), but this game is against Todd’s alma mater, and it’s their annual Toilet Paper Toss/white out game, so I’m expecting a tougher environment than normal up there. Always difficult to win on the road in conference play, even against bad teams, so we need to lock in and execute in this one. Imperative that we beat the teams we SHOULD beat at this point, or we could find ourselves on the outside looking in when it comes to Cleveland in March. Can’t win it unless you’re in it.

Go Falcons! Get back on track here, fellas.

I'll be interested to see if there are any rotation changes today after Simon's post game comments saying if you're not going to play defense you're not going to play. Need a bounce back game and having the defense creating havoc will be important to control the game early

At this point I think we need a team psychologist. These guys have the yips and lost all confidence in their shot. We passed up three wide open threes in the same possession.

Defensively we started a bit slow then we really turned up the heat forcing turnover after turnover. Much better on that side.

Offense was rough outside of transition. I think we missed at least 10 layups and could have been closer to 15. Wol airballed two 3s (short and long) before missing a forced dunk after getting a steal. Goins has our only three.

Overall I'll take a 12 point lead and we're in a good spot to get back in the W column

We have 7 points in this half after 11 minutes and we're not getting rebounds on the other end. Embarrassing right now

We have the best player in the MAC and zero help on the rest of the roster. This is just not a good team. Maybe it’s coaching or maybe we don’t have the funds to buy the players but either way it’s not much better than the Huger years.

Stick a fork in this season. Time to bring back the cat, and ride it out.

Simon basically threw the team under the bus following the Buffalo game, and this was their response. Tells you everything you need to know about the coach and the state of the program.
