Following the romp over the Rockets, our Falcons (16-10, 7-6 MAC) next host a Kent State team (19-7, 10-3 MAC) that has been rounding into form recently. The game will be Tuesday night, February 17th, at 7:00pm, and will stream on ESPN+.
Go Falcons!

Kent is an interesting team with 11 of their 13 games in 2026 being decided by 7 points or less with 6 of those being 3 points or less. They've struggled with emu, niu, and ball but also took miami to ot and beat Toledo twice. Regardless of score they do one thing well and that's winning. Expect a nail biter that comes down to late game execution

BG is a 2.5-point favorite somehow. Expecting Kent State to win handily, just because this team seems to go cold shooting wise in big games.

That was a good prediction. BG very cold at the end of the half.

Computers say we're slightly better and at home
Offense is still awful. Can't beat a zone and the hard hedge is limiting Campbell. 6 of 11 on free throws with 2 front end 1 and 1 misses. Defense has been good and feels like we have more than 4 blocks. Plus the zone is working well after the hot start for Kent's shooting

How you let Goins shoot more threes than wol in a half is inexcusable.
We just have zero clue in half court offense in how to find our shooters...if it's not at the rim we have nothing. Can't win that way anymore

We need more than 5 shot attempts from Campbell

We have 6 assists. None from anyone but Campbell and Thomas
Wol, ruffin, and Shacklford have combined for 10 points.
You cannot win being outscored from the arc by 20. Our guards have been garbage all nigjt

Lack of shooting will always hold this team back.
Good thing 26-0 Miami is next!

Of limited consequence to where this game stands but it's been about as poorly officiated a game as I've seen all year

Quick! What's that chocking sound?
Another loss to Kent State. 78=71 where the Falcons were 4-19 from beyond the arc.

Also any chance Hurley can be Groce 2.0?

Seems like if it's Kent or Akron, it's basically an automatic loss for BG.
