BG/Akron Predictions

We need to erase the recent loss to Ohio, a game we let slip away from us, with a win over a much improved and pretty tough Akron team. The month of February is what I call the "stretch run." The next month is going to separate the contenders from the pretenders. We've got 5 home MAC games and 4 MAC road games remaining. Right now, we're #3 in the MAC and that's what you want, one of the top three seeds to get the first round bye in the MAC Tournament. Not that most people don't know it already, but EVERY game counts. If we would have beaten Ohio, we'd be #1. That one loss pushed us behind a couple schools, and there's a logjam of teams right behind us that are only a game away from catching us. We've got to protect our home court, a place we've already lost.

Akron is awesome at home....but struggles on the road. Man, that OU game slipped away and is hard to stomach.
No rest for the weary, though...

Hopefully a good crowd shows up but being a Thursday night game in BG, I'm sure less students will be in attendance.

I am going to attempt this for the first time...
Since I won't be at the game due to my wonderful pop culture class, I will predict we go into overtime so that maybe, just maybe, I will be able to witness a nail-biting win.
