A little anti Marshall math...

Marshall is stinking it up in basketball this year. I did a little math to see how badly they are hurting our conference.

Currently, the MAC is the #11 Sagarin conference according to the "Central Mean" calculation. When I applied the Central Mean formula to all MAC schools but Marshall, the MAC becomes the #9 conference, pulling ahead of the Mountain West and CUSA. Ha! Good Riddence!

Note that this anaylsis is purely static. It doesn't account for the negative impact that Marshall has had on other MAC teams' ratings due to head to head competition.

Regardless of the static-isity (I probably made that word up.), I'm still not surprised that Marshall is blowing it.
