Unfortunately I had a 6-9 class last night and had to miss the game. I was just wondering how many showed up and if they were loud at all? I really wish I could have been there...

According to McMetz the students did not get into the game until late in the second half. The attendence should be in the box score.

Attendance was only like 2,100 or so and I listened to the game and it was pretty quiet. It got louder at the end, but that's when it got ugly for BG.

When we get a huge lead (6 points or more), the cheering stops. That's not a huge lead to me but it most be for the other fans because they seem to stop cheering and get bored around then...

I wish i could have been there last night, but I too had a class during the game
i'm not trying to preach or get all motivational and what-have-you,
BUT...
there has to be some way to get the crowd to A) show up...without having to give away something free at the door...and B) get fired up...a 14-0 run on an opponent at some random point in a game seems to get a fairly large reaction, so why cant we have that reaction at the opening tip?!
last night (and the women's game on wednesday) was a little understandable due to classes and such, but come on! these are OUR teams! we need to get out there and support!
*steps off of soap-box*

The student section was empty at the beginning, but it filled up pretty good as the first half went on.

Empty or full doesn't matter anymore...75%+ of the people just stand there and watch!

I have to concur. It was a poor and quiet crowd until practically the last possession.

From a cheerleader's perspective, sometimes it is difficult to be out there in the fan's faces or calling cheers and getting little response, except from the band. I always try to get real close to the fans hoping it makes them feel like yelling. I love BG fans, but we need the opposing teams to really fee the full effect of Anderson Arena, regardless of the crowd size.
