I really dont see Stan making it out of this year unless they go on to win the MACC and be dancing. It appears the AD does not approve of the job he is doing.

I don't see Smith lasting either. They win the title 2 years ago and have stunk it up since.

Agreed. CMU has not done anything after Kaman went to play for the Clippers. Maybe Scott Vanderheir  will turn into the next Kaman.

and with that last post I am now a Peregrine

How long has Marshall's coach been there? He is not looking too good right now.

I believe this is Jirsa's second season since replacing Greg White. White may have been, FWIW, the worst coach in the history of college basketball. He had an uncanny ability to take talented players and make them worse over their careers.

On top of that he could also mold them into the most uncohesive group ever put on the court!

That kind of player development and ability to put the pieces together is a tough combo to find in a coach. He was the master!

I agree about Stan, letting a 15 point lead go against your rival doesn't look too good. And if doesn't pull out tonight, thats not gonna help his case either

Fitting to also be in the worst town.

I think Jim Boone's job is seriously on the line. Going into the season, I thought Tim O'Shea and Jim Boone were the two guys on the hot seat. O'Shea has saved his job, but Boone has to be nervous. Nobody (other than Greg White) other than Boone has done less with more talent. When Boone showed up, guys like Adam Hess, Calvin Warner, Antonio Gates, and their good point guard immediately left. Boone has recruited nicely and has had time to build a program but continues to lose.

Btw, who voted for Hawkins? Hawkins is the LEAST likely coach to get fired, and the most likely to get a big $$$ offer.

Marshall pulled the improbable in-state upset of WVU last month. That should easily preserve his job for a year or two.
