Wow, that was as ugly of a game as I have ever seen. Both teams were dreadful, but UT wasn't quite as bad as us. Steven Wright was a bright spot going to the basket all night, but he had his fair share of turnovers as well. The point guard combo had way too many turnovers and Floyd couldn't get a deep ball to go down. Reimold had several good looks that just missed. Even the best shooters have off nights. Josh was not good tonight at all. He wasn't nearly aggressive enough on the offensive end. Wide open 17 footers that he pump faked, drove in, and got stuck on the baseline on several occassions. I doubt that he had more than 6-7 shot attempts all night. That's not nearly enough for a guy that shoots 63% from the floor.

I give our guys a lot of credit for being close during an awful night. They fought really hard and had a fighting chance in the last 2 minutes. I thought Floyd made a good pass to Almanson down on the block with about 2 minutes to go and it looked like Josh just didn't step to the ball. UT got the steal and the game was pretty much over from there. Just not our night. Hopefully we can get a W on Saturday.

We'll never be a "good" team by turning the ball away that many times. We've had games of 23 and 19 turnovers recently, it'll never cut it.

We beat ourselves with the turnovers...

Hopefully we pick up some great road wins and end this season good!!!

Exactly McMetz.....turnovers are just killers! We cannot expect to win games when we turn the ball over as much as we do. We've been averaging something like 20-plus turnovers in our last four games, and it's no surprise we lost all but one of them. When are we going to start taking better care of the ball?

fundamentals & coaching?

we can't win road games if the kids aren't ready beforehand. funamentals should be coached prior to and these turnovers won't occur. Is there a coaching scheme for the games or is it just a two man show?

I think a lot of our problem is that we don’t have enough people that are capable of scoring. We have John and Josh, who good teams can stop, we’ve seen this. We have Steve who is a little harder to defend. I think when teams shut down Josh and John we turn the ball over more because it puts more pressure on John Floyd and Moon and others that aren’t really scorers. Those young players are forced to grow up really fast, and they just haven’t gotten there yet.

I'll agree to that too.
