Simple question. Who was the coach during the 1984-85 season? I can't find my media guide.

I know Larranaga was the coach in the 86-87 season. Not sure who proceeded Larranaga. Was it coach John Weinert?

That was my Senior year here...it was Weinert.
I had the pleasure of taking one of his assistants (his graduate assistant) apart in three games of one-on-one on the courts over by the Library.
That was the hilight of my summer (well, that and the libertine divorcee I hooked up with later that year...)
TMI....TMI....

1984 year i think consisted of Bill and Joe Faine, David Jenkins, David Greer, Colin Irish.
A pretty good group of guys.

Thanks for the help! I got fined at Kiwanis because I said Weinert and the Sergeant of Arms said Larranaga. I will get my dollar back.

Jimbo first year was the 86-87 season. I know that for a fact and you can probably find that our on the net somewhere. I know he was at BG for 11 years, and Dan has been here ever since.

'84-'85 was the season after Jenkins, Irish, and B. Faine graduated. Greer graduated in '83 and J. Faine graduated in '81.
Keith Taylor pretty much carried the '84-'85 team.

I'll never forget John Weinert's mustard yellow sports coat. That thing was hard on the eyes.

I would think that's pretty accurate, as I seem to recall that the 83 team went down to Columbus and played >..and beat... a certain large, unnamed school from that area... That same school also went to Toledo either that year or the next....got beat...and its coach said he'd NEVER play a MAC school on its home court again.... Not sure if it was Fred Taylor who said it or not, but I do remember it being said...and they wonder why the MAC schools don't like em much?
