Incoming recruit Erik Marschall from New London HS is the NW Ohio D III Player of the Year. Probably a precursor to being first team D III All-Ohio when that comes out in a couple weeks. Archbold's Dan Borcherdt shared the honor with Marschall. Borcherdt was at the BG- Miami game Sunday and was talking to some BG people.

I have no idea if Borcherdt (senior scoring point guard) has announced his college plans. I continue to hear that Marschall may be able to help us as a freshman. Averaged 18.3. 6' 7" and plays for his father I believe.

Borcherdt hasn't committed to any college. He projects as an outstanding Division 3 player and could end up going Division 2.

If he's from Archbold, I wouldn't be surprised to see him end up here at Bluffton if he does go D-3. There's a pretty solid pipeline to the Beavers from that neighborhood.

He does play for his father, and his sister has been known to post on here from time to time. Look forward to seeing Erik in a BG uni!

Jimmy Langhurst from Willard was also in attendance at the Miami game Sunday.
