Strange Blade story on recruiting

I'm a little troubled by this story, if only because it reflects such a strong obsession with Toledo and seems to only mentions Bowling Green when it cannot be avoided. It never, for instance, includes an affirmative statement that Bowling Green does recruit Northwest Ohio fairly well, much less explore what that might mean.

In an accompanying column, John Harris never mentions Bowling Green at all.

The whole thing makes me uneasy, as if The Blade's sportswriters think of us as a second-class athletic program right in their backyard.
Maybe I'm reading too much into this.
