Thursday's Game on TV

There is no mention of this on the BGSU athletic department website, but Thursday's game v. Miami is being carried by ESPN's latest creation: ESPNU. For those who don't know, this was launched just last week. It is available on Direct TV and Adelphia cable. I think those are the only two who have added it to their packages. If you can't make it to the Gund, there is a chance that a local sports bar will carry the game.

I sent an e-mail to the BGSU website to inform them about this. Those of you with better connections might want to give them the heads-up.

F***in Insight cable service. Not only do they keep raising the cost, they didn't pick up ESPNU. Guess I'm just gonna have to tell the wife I'm goin to a bar.

OK, here is the link that shows that two MAC games will be broadcast on ESPNU on Thursday night:

http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/champweek ... y?page=mac

BUT, the BGSU athletic department says that the MAC office hasn't informed them of this AND elsewhere on ESPN.com they list the Big 12 and not the MAC on Thursday night's ESPNU schedule.

SO, ESPN.com might have goofed up and the game might not be on TV.

Sorry.

What the heck is ESPNU going to have on when it is not basketball or football season?

Yeah, that site is a little messed up. They show CMU losing to Kent, yet in Game 9 they have Central playing Ohio.

If they're wearing those little plaid skirts, women's field hockey is a great programming choice IMHO

The assistant A.D. just confirmed that it was a mistake - no MAC games on ESPNU this Thursday.

You would think FSN would pick up these games. I am curious to see what they are covering during this period. Maybe I will have to go check. Wont matter to me because I will be there, but still would be nice to be on TV
