Glancing at the BG/Miami series in the MAC Tournament, it's been all one sided. After a lone win by BG in 1982, it's been all Miami after that with a boat load of wins in recent years including the last six consecutive meetings. It's time for some payback!

1982 - BG 81, Maimi 78, QF
1992 - Miami 70, BG 60, SF
1993 - Miami 63, BG 50, QF
1994 - Miami 61, BG 59, SF
1996 - Miami 81, BG 53, QF
1999 - Miami 60, BG 56 (OT), SF
2000 - Miami 58, BG 56 (OT), QF

The only payback on the mind of the RedHawks will be getting back at us for the 1 point win in AA. They are gonna come out rested with a full head of steam, and we already have a close, long game under our belts. This matchup scares me, as long as we are tied/down no more than 5 at the half I will be comfortable. I have a bad feeling that Miami could jump out to a big lead. We may be due against them in the MAC Tournament, but that was in years past, and this is now. Rarely do you see a #1 seed bow-out in the first round of the tourney.

To be honest, looking at the way the tourney brackets ended up I feel we have a better chance playing #1 seed Miami than either Toledo or WMU at this point. The Rockets are really rolling and nobody needs to be reminded of the K-Zoo debacle.

It all depends on if we play like we did at home vs. Kent (W 70-45), or at Marshall (L 47-54). See you Thursday.

Don't take this the wrong way RedHawk, but seriously how did you guys lose to Marshall? Did Mawel Soler mess with your backboard again?

I think they attempted about 40 3 point shots. That team lives and dies by the 3 point shot. Look at the second half at AA last week. They made 7 shots in the second half. 1 was a layup, 1 was breakaway layup, the other 5 were 3 pt shots. As someone mentioned last week, not a conventional 2 pt shot in the second half.

Could also been Greg White was in the building?

I have no idea. It was quite demoralizing. But I have to admit, I wasn't too surprised. Marshall has been underacheiving all year. Regardless, we should have won. bgfan72 was close- I believe we were 10-33 from behind the arc.

Hey dont worry if we get up by 15-20 points we give away leads like that in the last five minutes of most games. John Reimold scares the hell out of me, but I wonder who will match up with Miami's Guards (Mason and Hatcher), with G. Fitch gone.

I hope for a great game, although I have no idea where I can watch it because no one has ESPN U!

Historically, Miami plays quite well in the tournament. Usually, no one wants to play Miami even when we're a 9 seed. I look for them to be quite focused on the task at hand. Should be a great game!

Historically yes. However, we have lost 4 out of our last 6.
