Anyone notice the recap of last nights game on bgsufalcons.com
Headlines:
Falcons Soar Past Cardinals In Firswt Round:
First of all, I wouldn't say we soared, we squeaked by.
Secondly, cant the marketing department or whoever writes the recap, cant they proofread. Firswt Round??

Carefull what you Say 1972, you don't want to have to write an apology letter for saying anything bad of BGSUfalcons.com like TG. I always heard colleges were getting more liberal these days, maybe its affecting sports headlines.

At least there is something up and when you rush you tend to mistype. Give 'em a break

I know I misspell words, but coming from the University, you think they could at least proofread. Heck most word processors have a spell-check? Takes what 1 minute to run it. I just brougt it up because my cousin emailed me this morning from Florida and said, "Hey I see BG won, but who writes the follow-up reports? From the headlines I thought they blew out Ball State. And then he said, they cant even spell first.

Might want to check your own spelling there '72 'brougt'. . .
As for the headline, yes soared is a poor choice to describe that game, and for the type-o most web based networks for homepages don't have spellchecks for entering the data. When I was a PR / web guy for a team I would write my stories in word then copy and paste for that very reason. . .

Birds always soar over their opponents -- and headline writers always think they are clever to point that out.

Well, if the SID's office ever has a mind to hire a professional proofreader, I have someone in mind for the position.
