Here's a message I just received about toruney ticket sales...

"All schools have an allotment that they are responsible for and HAVE to purchase. If the schools don't sell, they still have to pay for them. If you notice on the MAC website down by the ticket pricing it states something about $28 school tix - sold out. That's because the school's had to purchase them. I'm pretty sure there will be a table set up at one of the doors and manned by BGSU to sell tix. They had one yesterday for the women."

Grant,
Only thing was they didn't have ANY tix to sell for the women's game; only had tix that had been reserved thru our ticket office...so I went to the Gund window and paid an extra $2 for a "service" charge on EACH ticket..took the guy all of 5 sec. to pull off the 2 tix from a stack and give them to me...Hell of an hourly rate, I'd say... But I DID buy my ticket last nite at the BG table...still had to pay $28 for a ticket supposedly listed as $26, so I assume we added our OWN service charge...Don't know why they simply can't list the actual ticket price, and stop this service charge/ or "handling" charge that exists on tickets sold IN THE ARENA!

Isnt this scalping!!!!!!!!! Any ticket sold over the face value amount listed on the ticket is scalping!!!! Anyone ever think of that. We should refuse to pay the extra 2.00 because its not listed on the ticket price.

Then you won't be going to the game. This has been a pet peeve of mine for years, but its the industry standard, really. Its even worse if you order the tix online or over the phone. They'll give you the same $2 service charge plus about $3-4 in "convenience fees." Its the same whether you're getting tickets for concerts, shows, or sporting events.

It gets old, but if you want to go to these sorts of events you really don't ahve a choice.

Then instead of charging $26 for the ticket and $2 convenience fee and a $4 processing fee, just simply charge $32.

I would not be pissed off if I paid $32 for a ticket going in. What I am pissed about is you pay for a ticket that says $26 on the ticket, then they add the extra $6. Just simply charge the $32 to begin with.

Just like I hate how you go to McDonalds or any fast food restaraunt and they have to charge a tax for carbonation (CO2). Just include it in the price you see at the menu board.
