Oh, they're in the postseason, they're just saving two nights stay at a hotel in downtown Cleveland.

For the second year in a row the UB fans took the cake. They are far and away the most vocal and organized group of fans in the MAC. They continually started new chants that were readily understandable throughout the arena. Of course they did include everyone's favorite (F*** Toledo).
In general the Buffalo fans are a model that all the MAC should try to emulate.

Hambb, I agree...to a point...last year was their 1st trip to the Gund and they absolutely ROCKED (no pun intended) the place with noise and cheering...Didn't see the early session yesterday, but I heard they were about the same.
Only point of disagreement I'd have is that about 5-6 kids were hauled off last year in cuffs...drunk and disorderly etc...cops were having a hard time handling them even after the cuffs were on... That's NOT something I'd like to see us emulate..
BTW, for those of you who weren't there, it seemed to me that their were more BG people there last nite than from any of the other schools...a bit scattered around the Gund, but there was LOTS of Orange...too bad the team couldn't come up with a performance that would get the crowd more into the game... We can say that we should cheer no matter what, but, face it, we had very little to cheer
about. I'd like to see this team go to the NIT ..and win at least a couple..for the seniors who've carried this team on their backs all year, and for the young kids who'll need to step it up next year as extra playing experience.

Err.. emulate again, at least.

The little bit I heard on the radio stream last night sounded like there was ALOT of BG folks there. Good to hear!

Yeah, there are always going to be a couple morons that can make an entire group look worse for it, but in general their fans are fantastic.
I would agree that we had a LOT of people there, but it seemed that it wasn't a real vocal crowd. You know how when you go to Anderson you have the same 1500-2000 people there for every single game? Especially on the West side of the arena? Well it seemed like all 2000 of those people went to the Gund, but there weren't too many new faces.
The BG crowd wasn't very loud, right from the get go, but then again about 2:00 into the game it was pretty much over. OU brought a good crowd for the nightcap as well, but I'd say we were close to havng the biggest group.
