Redskins lose to TCU 60-58. I feel about as bad for them now as I do for Notre Dame. I was really hopin the MAC would make a strong statement in the NIT. Hopefully it'll now come from KSU, WMU, or UBuff (Down by 4 with 3 minutes left)

And now, Kent's gone too....So it's up to WMU and Buffalo to carry the MAC banner the rest of the way.... maybe ties into some of the other comments on other threads...re: the MAC had a lot of GOOD teams, but no GREAT teams this year. Hopefully, OU will have a good showing against FLA., but that's a tough draw.

First time in many, many years that Ihave not picked the MAC team to win a game.

I pickced 'em because I have either of them losing to NM in the 2nd round anyway. Florida is a perennial choker in the tourney, so I thought, I'd be a MAC homer and pick OU, even though I'm not real high on the conference as a whole this season

Buffalo beat Drexel in OT, 81-76. MAC is 2-2 in the NIT after the 1st round.
GO UB AND WMU!

and we could have easily been 4-0. Both losses came right down to the end.

The NIT doesn't have the impact playing in the NCAAs might have. Still, you would hope for more from teams getting a chance to play in it, and it doesn't do anything for the MAC trying to get a second NCAA bid.
I start to wonder if not getting the second bid is starting to get a self-fulfilling quality to it.
