New Basketball Uniforms (w/ new logos)

So here is another post on par with my "New Court for Anderson Arena" offseason chatter theme. I prefer to do stuff like this than prophisize where some 17 year old kid will be playing for us next season
We got our current uniforms what two years ago so we aren't due for new ones for another 2-5 seasons. .. Here is my design anyway:
I know that we haven't broken up our new word mark before but Boston College does a similar thing with their logo, so I thought why not for us. Also, our current unis are on a generic Nike template and my design is not so I doubt they would happen, but that is my creative take on what I would like to see.
As always comments, questions, and criticisms are encouraged!!

Great work Dayon. I really like the streamline designs when the shirts and shorts line up on the sides.

Yeah, those are pretty cool. I hope we don't change the uniforms for a while though, b/c I just bought a new white #2 jersey in the current design, and I'm hoping it is current for a while. Also, I'm not sure if they will have names on the back, we don't have them now. It would also be cool to have a 3rd, alternate brown jersey. The designs there are definitely and upgrade from what we have though, no doubt about that.

just a random thought while I looked at that... what if the "stripe" down the side of the shorts was the tip of a falcon's wing, maybe even extended around the back a little?

Black or brown? *Raises eyebrows.*
But I also like the streamlines on the shorts. Not sure about a falcon wing though. I'd have to see it.

Now, now I am a purist like you all, you WILL NEVER SEE BLACK AS A SUBSTITUTE FOR BROWN in any of my graphic designs. I think the light brown to the left of the posting area causes the brown to look black. It is most certainly our beloved seal brown on my uniform. ..

Streamlines may look snazzy, but they don't make the players run down the court any faster.
Just sayin'.

Nope, but if you can't run a fast break, you might as well look good doing it.

The designer in me doesn't like the idea of splitting up "Bowling" and "Green" ... otherwise, great stuff ...

That is definately a great design, but like TG, if you could make the stripes on the sides the tip of a falcon's wing, it would be interesting to see. I'm not saying it's a good idea, but hey, why not??

Personally, I like shorts that have trim that goes around the bottom of the leg better. And I like it better when the logo is on the side at the bottom of the leg, not in the front.
On the wing idea, I think that it might work better on the warmups. You could make the long sleeves a wing and have the body of a falcon on the back. So when a player has his arms outstrected, that from behind it would look like a falcon with its wings spread. And I guess on the front you could put the underside of the falcon with the claws sticking out. Just an idea.

Awesome designs DD.. I could definitely see us sporting something like that next year.
I agree with 1987alum, I've never seen the Bowling Green Split apart with the new font.
