Bowling Green, Ohio - Bowling Green State University men's basketball coach Dan Dakich has announced that Martin Samarco, a 6-2 Junior College All-American guard from Schoolcraft (Michigan) College has signed a national letter of intent to attend BGSU and play for the Falcons next season.

Samarco, who will have two years of eligibility remaining, was 13th in the country averaging 21 points per game and finished 14th in the nation in three-point field goal percentage making 46.7% of his shots. He connected on 122 of 261 three-pointers last season and was a first-team All-Region XII honoree.

"Martin brings to our team an ability to score and will have an immediate impact on our program," added Dakich. "He gives us a solid scoring threat from the outside and is an excellent addition to our team."

No doubt! Hopefully he's as good as he sounds. We need all the offense we can get but I still have no doubts, we will be a great team!

Talking to some sources, that 46.7% is a little low. This kid can shoot the 3 like it's his job!!

Could we see some of Steven Wright on the wing? You could run Samrco out there with Wright and Floyd in a three guard set. That might be interesting.

It'd be interesting to see how many points they give up with Wright trying to guard a small forward.

Another point guard bad, preferably one who is quick and has some decent size like 6'2 or bigger. Perrick Robinson is going to have serious problems guarding big point guards.

I sort of recall of little MAC player by the name of Earl Boykins. How did he turn out against larger guards? I kind of recollect him doing just fine against taller opponents, both in terms of scoring and guarding them.

And look what Earl is doing now with the Nuggets! One of the best six man in the NBA. I love watching him.

Was also the quickest guy in the Mac ever! His pure blazing quickiness and speed did make up for his being 5'5. Perick is not blazing quick , just decently quick, when your only 5'9 decenty quick or somwhat quick is not good enough in my opinion. Boykins was just so fast that he made everybody on the court look extremely slow.
