Cavs Message Board Rumors......

Their saying that AD is a lock to go to Cleveland. Their also mulling over the chance to get both AD and Ray Allen to Cleveland. Wow! With AD at pg and Allen at the 2 guard and Lebron at the 3, the Cavs could've have a major upgrade of players to challenge for the playoffs again! I remind you , a couple of posters think AD is just average , but most of posters thought getting AD would be great for them. Here's the site.

Woody Paige as the source??

I wouldn't hold my breathe. I'm not saying that it won't happen but I sure as hell won't rely on Woody for info

I said this before, but I hope he goes somewhere other than Cleveland so I can still root for him.

Whatever Woody Paige says is 99% opinion of what he wants or thinks will happen, and I don't see why anyone supporting BG would want to see Ray Allen and Antonio Daniels in the same place. I know we all love AD, but be realistic. The Cavs wouldn't put both of them on the floor at the same time very much, they won't go that small, and Ray Allen gets 40 minutes a game minimum. I'm not sure if Daniels would play all that much with Allen there, I could see him being his backup, and Daniels is obviously of starting quality. I really hope he doesn't go to the Cavs if Allen does, and in no way is it a "lock", especially not right now. I mean, Seattle's season ended ten minutes ago. Yeah, I know in Cleveland we could see him play more, and alot of BG fans have a common rooting interest in Cleveland, but I'd rather see him play, period.

They won't go small with a 6'4" point, a 6'5" SG, and a 6'8" manchild SF? That doesn't seem to small to me, especially when the sonics have ran AD, Ridnour, and Ray Allen out there together quite a bit with some success this year.

AD and Allen were quite studly together. Check out 82games.com.

???

Nah. AD and Allen play on the same roster now, and AD sees nice minutes. Furthermore, the Sonics are far deeper at guard than the Cavs. Both AD and Allen would play ahead of any of the returning Cav guards, if all/any even return.

All I'm saying is that with Allen and James there won't be many touches left for Daniels. Drew Gooden can also put it in the basket.

Daniels wouldn't be expected to score much. They'd use him as a true PG, which is his best role in the NBA. The guy is a good distributor and doesn't turn the ball over. He's also a strong defender. That's something that Cleveland could use desperately. Sure AD wouldn't be scoring much, but he would definitely be a starter & major contributor in C-town.

Gooden sucks. I'd rather see Verajoa on the court. At least he looks like he is trying.

His "best role" as you call it in the NBA is not a true PG. He is a scoring PG and they aren't considered true PG's.

There haven't been too many "true" PG in the NBA since Zeke redefined the postion in Motown with the Pistons.

I think AD would be as good a fit in Cleveland as anyone else they could get. I wouldn't woryy about him getting enough touches with James and Allen on the floor. These days you have to have at least three guys who can score or you'll get shut down.

Yup. AD would score about as much as he does now. AD is a setup man. Z, LeBron, Allen, and Gooden will provide 75% of the scoring. AD actually would get more minutes and touches in Cleveland b/c he wouldn't platoon with Ridnour.

I don't think you have enough cash to sign both of them after how AD proved himself in the playoffs....but even if you did, you have no center.

Without any other major pieces coming for cheap, you are barely the Washington Wizards...

As much of a Woody Paige fan as I am, I have to agree with the majority of you and say that this AD thing could very well be just opinion. But that doesn't mean we can't dream! :P

Everything I have read says that Cleveland wants Z gone this offseason.

That explains a lot...

The only person worse than Woody Paige is that ass clown Skip Bayless
