Have we a new Assistant B-ball Coach Yet?????

Post by Falconboy »

Just wondering. Didn't Lamonta Stone leave for another job. Wondering if anyone has hear or read anything anywhere about a good candidate for the assistant position. Because as far as I know we havent' hired anybody yet. So any news out there? :-\

Lamonte left? He was at the golf outing last week. This is news to me.

Stone...

I'm almost positive it was reported a while ago that Stone was leaving. I sure hope I'm wrong. That would be great. But again I'm nearly positive that Stone was to be leaving , unless he's not leaving until next year. Who knows. Can someone clarify? :-\

He was *rumored* to be a *possible* candidate for an assistants job at Michigan due to both his coaching acumen and tremendous ties to local high school coaches.

Coach Stone, we're glad to have you!

There were some rumors that Stone was leaving but I don't think anything came of it. For some reason people actually confuse this site with a REAL news site. If it was "reported" here, it's not news.

It was more than a rumor, he was indeed a "candidate" for a Michigan position. However, that position has finally just been filled, and fortunately for us, not by Coach Stone.

This article mentions him as one of the three "finalists" for the position.

Quite a while ago, I posted that Stone was on a list of 5 or 6 candidates for the Michigan assistant job. He didn't get it, or we would've know full well about it.
