How many years left on DD's contract?

Is he heading into year 4 of the 5 year deal?

Believe it or not, I was thinking about BG hoops today driving into work....with football season 67 days away.

I was thinking how tough the East is gonna be with BG back there with Kent, Buffalo, Ohio, Akron and Miami.

DD is probably gonna have to produce a title in the next yr or so or I think BG may go in a different direction.

Any thoughts?

GO BG!~

I don't think DD has earned an extension yet. Not sure what it will take for him to earn that extension. I'm also not sure that he'd come back as a lame-duck after this coming season.

I'm still undecided on Dan...I love some things, dislike some things. I do find it hard to believe that he forgot how to coach basketball on the plane from WVU though.

I agree with the points made above. I also have mixed feelings about DD and the shape our program is in. Something tells me that this season is going to be a make-or-break type of a season for us in more ways than one. :?

It's going to be an amazing year. I've seen most of the new guys practicing and we have some steals on the kids we picked up. Yeah I'm usually optimistic, but we are going to be golden as long as the kids stick together and they will. BG basketball is going to gain some respect again this season, just wait!!!

I don't think he needs a title to get an extension. But we should be on the verge of a serious challenge. And guys should be staying.

So everyone can tell me how wrong I am or complain about something that doesn't suit their liking? Nah, I'll pass...

I would never have pegged the winner of a "Danny" as a candy ass.....

I don't think it's fair to say that DD needs a title to get an extension. We're losing two of our top scorers and a top reserve, that's a lot to overcome.I think if we're in that 17-18 win range next year and we keep the roster more or less intact, I'd be open to giving DD another 2-3 years

Haha, I just wanted to see what kind of reaction that would cause :D Samarco is a lot bigger than I expected. He has some muscle on him which is definitely needed on the team and like it has been said before, he can shoot! From anywhere!

Dusan I mentioned has a slow release and that he does. But he's always in AA practicing his shooting and if he's open, the ball is going in for sure.

I also heard from an inside source today we stole a kid from Virginia. He apparently verbaled to UV but has signed on to play with us. He is another kid (don't know where he's from for sure!) who is one heck of a player, the name will get out eventually.

The only kid I haven't seen/heard much about is Clements. Hopefully he is another good addition. I honestly think we got some great players coming in and probably have one of the best recruiting classes in the nation. If these kids really came here to play and work as a team, we could easily have a 20+ win season this year.

I have NOT seen anyone shoot a basketball or even run for that matter, but here is my take on everyone so far . . .

Dusan- razor thin, but seemed to enjoy lunch and the conversation with Marty and Coach Stone the other day.

Samarco- built like a truck. This kid is strong and looks tough.

Clements and Wilson- Both, I would assume were walking with Jeremy Holland on campus today and both are surprisingly long using a Jay Bilas term from tonight.

Lionel Sullivan is very strong and long as well. Developed body already.

The others I have not noticed on campus.

I will stay away from predictions for awhile since I missed by 10 or 11 last year. I will say that unless Samarco can play point guard and do it effectively 20 wins in that division is a stretch.
