This probably isn't good news for keith's playing time. I know Sloan loves him almost as much as we do but he's going to lose serious pt to williams if he stays in Utah.

I hate to see this, but competition is a fact of life. Keith was going to face serious competition for sooner or later. He just has to man up.
Personally, I don't think William is that good. I like Head and Brown off of that team better.

Keith's time in Utah is done. He will have a better chance on a better team soon enough.

they just took another guard, a high schooler. not sure if he was a PG or SG, but yeah, it looks like Keith will be on the move. he might have to prove himself over again, but I think the past year and a half he's gotten in the league will go a long way on his resume.

Concerning Keith's future, Utah made this statement. It sounds like they are interested in retaining Keith's services.
OFFER COMING: The Jazz are likely to make a qualifying contract offer today to point guard Keith McLeod, basketball operations senior vice president Kevin O'Connor said Wednesday. If so, McLeod would become a restricted free agent and the Jazz would retain the right to match any offer to him from another team when the NBA's free-agency market opens Friday. McLeod, undrafted out of Bowling Green, was a part-time Jazz starter this past season.

Does anyone know what is going on with Keith? The last I saw was that he decided not to attend Utah's summer camp. Does this mean Keith wants out of Utah no matter what? Utah has made a qualifying offer to him and has the ability to match any offer another team may make, so I not sure what the logic is of sitting out of Utah's camp. Camp would likely help him no matter where he ends up. Why skip?

Keith doesn't have a contract. It's in his best interest NOT to play in a summer league where he could get hurt. Keith establsihed himself as a starter and showed he could perform against the NBA's best night in and night out. He doesn't need to re-establish that in a summer camp setting.
I asked the same question you did, UK, but when I was given the answer, it made sense. NONE of the NBA's 2005 class of rookies will play in a summer league until they've signed. Once Keith gets a deal on paper, I'm sure he'll be willing to lace it up when and wherever!

Thanks Grant, that makes sense. I was curious because Utah's vice president of basketball operations and the Salt Lake Tribune made it sound like Keith had commited some grevious faux pas by not attending the camp.

I know, I read that too... plus FoxSports is beating up on him now too... Maybe it was the right move, maybe not... guess time will tell!
