Bucknuts article on Ron Lewis

I know this article might make a few people vomit :vom: here, but I thought I'd post it so people could read it if they'd like.

http://ohiostate.theinsiders.com/2/294941.html

The article has such gems as "I'm a person that is determined to win, and will do anything for the team to win," Lewis said. "Winning is the ultimate goal here (at Ohio State) and that's what I came here to do."

Way to go Ron and show that winning attitude that ultimately led you into quitting on BG and transferring.

"I think he's going to play me as a combo guard," Lewis said. "We really haven't talked about it."

Really, I thought Ron only wanted to play the point. Oh well. I guess it wasn't so important after all.

I say good luck to Ron. It makes me cringe that he's on that one team in central ohio but whatever.

I'm not as concerned now as I was before about the basketball team. The players here are commited to win and that's what we want. I hear that the 6'5 JUCO transfer is as explosive if not more explosive than Ron. He does the little stuff to win. Then we have a true point guard coming in that is supposed to be quick. We got two players that fill the needs that we have. Then we got the 6'11 freshman that I hear was practically a steal. I guess we'll see in a few months.

Put me in the camp that STILL doesn't truly believe that this is why he left, and I never will. This may be the Dakich story, but I'm not buying it.

The more you hear comments from Lewis, the more you DON'T hear him say anything about playing PG. Also leads me to believe that that story was just propaganda.

Time will tell. I have my doubts in the hope we are investing in a JUCO guy who averaged 9 points a game, and a guy we think is going to run the point who didn't have a scholarship offer late into the summer. We weren't close last year, and this year's lineup is much weaker. At any rate, he's a FR on the point.

And I don't think PG was the issue either, and I never did.

"Ohio State became the best option for Lewis over Seton Hall..."

O man, if he would have gone to SHU I think I'd nut myself. After the Falcons, they are my team, I didn't know that was so close to being his final choice.... kind of deflating now.
