Steven Wright -- Broken Foot

Post by hammb »

Okay, I cannot believe this has not been mentioned on here. Maybe it was a long time ago and I just missed it? But if not, Dan was on 1470 yesterday afternoon and he stated that Steven Wright had a broken foot and would be out for about 6 weeks?

Why have I not heard this before?

Because I live in Indianapolis and wasn't at practice that day. Sorry.

Sorry, its just that Dan said it as if it was known information, and it was the first I had heard of it. I thought maybe everyone else just knew and I missed the post(s).

Well, then consider this a news break on my part?

Maybe this says something about the state of our program, but when I see "Steven Wright?" as the thread title, my first thought was 'where is he transferring to'?

Not much basketball news out yet, so I am guessing that is why we haven't heard. Although I would hope that someone on campus that may sneak into a few practices (Metz?) might have been able to let us know this.

And I heard Dan a little yesterday as well. Any idea why he was on when he was? He ususually is on Mondays at 4:30. I heard him on Wednesday at 5:30.

I still think of this guy:

Thankfully, this is his new time, apparently. Don't know if it'll still be during the season (with Wednesdays being gamedays), but I hope so. I cannot get 1470 in my building, so I can only listen in the car. I never got to listen to him before because he was over before I left work.

I was thinking the same thing too. I thought it would be followed by a long post by a certain poster saying I told you so and that we really stink now.

I hope it is too. Whether you like Dakich as a coach or not, he is usually fun to listen to.

Sadly, like many of you, I also thought there was going to be something about Wright leaving or something along those lines when I saw his name as well. But can you really blame any of us for thinking of that? With that being said, I never thought the day would come when a broken foot is considered a good thing for BG basketball - with all things considered. :? Seriously though, I hope his foot heels quickly and we can get him back healthy ASAP.

There, I changed the thread title, so no more worrying about him leaving...sorry to confuse.
