BG picked last and Dusan's injured

Post by Warthog »

The MAC media picked BG to finish last in the MAC East. Dusan has a stress fracture in his leg and will out 3-4 weeks. Wright still a couple of weeks away as well.

That's a shame about Dusan and his injury too. I know this kid is going to help us this year. Also, I hope Steven is able to come back soon as well. But it appears both of those guys will not be able to play in our season-opening tournament then, which means they will miss three games right off the bat.

About that tournament at Virginia Tech, I will be a very happy guy if we can go down there and finish at least 2-1. It will be very difficult to hang with Virginia Tech, especially with these two injuries and I see us losing that game. But, we're going to also have our hands full with Western Carolina and Radford. These are two programs that usually I would say we are much better than, but right now, we're probably about even with. FYI, this will basically be a home game for Radford when we play them as the Radford campus is only about 10 minutes away from Virginia Tech. But at least a 2-1 start to the season and getting these two guys back from injury could help us get off to a good start to our season. It would also be a huge lift if Moten can become eligible in the second semester.

I'll be happy with one win against those three teams. Dan's pretty much starting from scratch here.

It said in the article that he was kicked during practice, which I suppose is better than being kicked out of practice at this point.

That's one positive way to look at it I guess. :)

Well, we know that no members of the Falcon football team are trying out for the hoops team, or else the kick would have missed.

Sadly, these are pretty funny comments. I guess we have to at least laugh at them or we'll crack.

I wish AT would. He is an amazing shooter and we all know he's fast enough.

I'm not sure if I'm more excited about the Glass Bowl Rockets or the Savage Hall Rockets! Thanks for the link.

i wouldn't get too excited about the savage hall rockets. you know as well as we that, no matter how much "talent" the team is purported to have, they'll likely be miscoached, and subsequently underperform.
