Sounds like he is on his way to the NBA with that kind of stat line against Findlay. Great athlete with jaw-dropping dunks, but unless he has significantly improved his outside shot and shot selection, I don't see him doing anything spectacular in the Big 10 this year. If he does, I'll come back hear and give him props.

Lewis is a 6-4 leaper with poor handles and a below average outside shot, not to mention no defensive instincts whatsoever. He has the ability to stuff the stat sheet in college, I'll give him credit for that. Unfortuantely for him, his game lacks dimension. I hope he's taking foreign languages down at OSU b/c he'll never see an NBA court. In fact, I predict he'll never even see an invite to an NBA camp. He lacks AD's intelligence and McLeods guts.

I didn't see any shots at BG in that?! Can't we just wish him well and forget about it? Who cares how he does? He wasn't right for BG, maybe he's right for OSU. For his sake, I hope he does great and makes it to the NBA!

For our sake, I'm glad he's not on the BGSU basketball team anymore, because he wasn't a good fit.

Maybe I'm just too... something or other, but I don't understand wishing a "horrible season" on him.

I'm over Whois, but the quote "It felt good to come out and play with a good team...." could certainly have been a slam on BG.

Actually, I'm still disappointed that Lewis left BG this long afterward. I think he "could" have been one of the better (not best, I said better) players to ever play for BG. Key word being, could. What gets me is, when he was at BG, everyone loved the guy and talked about how good of a player he was for us. Then when he left, everyone complained about him and then all the negative comments came out. I wish he would have stayed and developed into a team player, but that's a moot point now. But everyone is allowed to have their own opinion. But I think both Ron Lewis and Raheem Moss will have very good seasons this year at OSU and CSU, respectively. I will be shocked if either player does not have a very good season. So will Erik Crawford, and insert transfer's name here_______, etc.

Playing against limited NBA competition and several others who were INVITED to play in the McDonald's Worthington Summer League, Lewis averaged about 40 a game. Granted he won't be given that kind of offensive freedom to get the shots, but with Matta's emphasis on an open court game, Ron will be just fine in Columbus. And next year, he doesn't have to play defense as they will funnel everything to Oden.

While I'm not the biggest Ron Lewis supporter, I'll be shocked if he doesn't get a NBA look.

Ron Lewis is a "baller." Period. The kid flat out has some great basketball skills. I'm not saying he is an ideal team-player, but he can add a lot to a team skill-wise that is hard to match. If Lewis was at BG this year, I think everyone is talking about him as the Preseason MAC Player of the Year and not Leon Williams. Just my opinion.

Ron's got the athleticism to get a "look" from the NBA, but there are so many guys out there with more refined skills AND athleticism. He has a ton of work to do if he expects to have a shot at being the 15th man on an NBA roster

Ron will never see the NBA if he follows the advice of his brother. His brother is a "hangeron" and will cause Ron to only think of $$ and not opportunity.

Ron Lewis is fast enough, strong enough, and can jump well enough to play in the NBA. His shooting, ball handling, and passing skills, and overall team play is not good enough to play in the NBA. He is the kind of guy who can get points because of his physical talents. By playing in the Big Ten, and if he can avg 15pts a game over the next two years, I would believe he would get some NBA "looks". His problem will be at 6'4" he will have to play point guard. A point guard in the NBA can't be selfish, a below average shooter, and a bad decision maker. You can remember these three things. Ohio State will just be ok this year, with Ron as your guy real success is not possible. (next year they might be very good with that recruiting class) Ron will get his share of points 12-16 a game. Ron will get 6-10 individual NBA workouts when his college days are over, and look great in them, but will never make an NBA roster.

Ron is good enough, Ron is smart enough, and doggone it, people like Ron.

I don't know of a single NBA guard around 6-4 who can not shoot, handle, or defend. He can improve in all of those areas, but he must improve dramatically and become particularly strong in at least one to be taken seriously by NBA scouts.
