Erik Crawford Update

Post by Dayons_Den »

Northern Iowa, 2-0 after Wednesday's 69-63 victory at Western Michigan, got a bounce-back game from senior guard Erik Crawford.

After making just one of eight shots from the field and one of four free throws against Western Carolina in the season opener, Crawford scored a team-high 18 points at Western Michigan. Crawford was four of eight from the floor and made nine of 11 free throws.
UNI fell to 3-1 tonite (Tuesday the 29th) 68-61 at Iowa State. Crawford finished with 7 points and 7 boards.

I thought Crawford was a senior 2 years ago in the NCAA tournament. He didn't have a very polished offensive game as a freshman, but he certainly got after it on defense every night. Best of luck to Erik.

I was thinking the same thing. How many years of eligibility does this kid have?

Does he travel to road games, or is that too far away from Mommy and Daddy?

Crawford was a freshman on our '01-'02 team. He sat out the '02-'03 season after transferring, and this is his third (and last) season of eligibility at Northern Iowa.

I was wondering what the heck people were talking about in this thread. Thanks Tswam!

I knew he was a senior, but the last time we had a championship-caliber team in men's basketball was when he was a freshman. Seems like so long ago.
