Pollitz Twins

The Pollitz twins from Ottawa-Glandorf that BG recruited but lost out to Miami a few years ago are begining to be a factor for the Redhawks.

Tim had a nice line in tonight's win at Oakland...23 points on 11-15 shooting, 6 rebounds, 3 assists and NO turnovers. His brother Eric has been playing limited minutes. Tim is a sophmore, while Eric is a redshirt freshman.

There was a lot of talkon this board as to whether these guys were D1 players coming out of high school. The could prove to be a lot of trouble for the Falcons for the next several years. I know they would look good in a Falcon uniform about now.

FYI, following his 23 pt effort last night, Tim was unable to bend his leg this morning. He is scheduled to have arthroscopic surgery on the knee and should only miss one game.

As an OG and BG grad I was really hoping to see them end up with the Falcons. Tim had a 9-1 record at Anderson Arena while at OG but unfortunately wasn't recruited by any D-1 schools until after he graduated.

They both would have looked good in BG uniforms. Better yet they would have put another 500-800 butts in the seats. Weekend games even more. Word I got was Coach DD didn't want to give the one a full ride, or didn't have an extra scholarship to give. Well hind sight in 20/20 but we could use a guy that puts up 23 against Oakland.

Much better to instead use scholarships on players who subsequently transfer.

For Christ's sake. Can we stop this sh!t? Please?!??! Some comment relating to players leaving is in every thread in this forum. I love BG B-ball, but it just isn't any fun to read this forum any more.

Am I telling people how to be a fan?

YES!

Keep it to yourself.

That's what Jerry Falwell wants you to believe, but I have it on good authority that JC signed elsewhere.

But this is exactly the problem, BG has had so many players leave over the years, it is the reason why it keeps coming up over and over on our boards. I agree with you, I sometimes get tired of reading these type of posts too, but I'm nowhere near as tired of reading these posts as I am tired of seeing the transfers and defections continue to happen year after year after year at BG. People writing about the transfers isn't the problem, it's the number of players leaving that causes people to write about it - that is the problem. If it wasn't happening, we wouldn't be having these discussions.

I'm not going to sit here and try and tell people what to post and what not to post....sadly we have enough people that do that already. What I will say is I think people should be able to come here and speak their mind - whether it’s about wins, losses, transfers, coaching, etc. But until our alarming rate of defections stop, or at least slows down for crying out loud, it's going to be talked about. Because for every year we keep rebuilding because of losing players (and not to graduation), we're going to have this problem at BG.

UH OH, Give it a rest. Move to Cuba where you can control what others talk about, (and call Jeb Bush fat). This is a forum, people can talk about what they want, if you don't like it, hasta la vista baby. Maybe if no one transfers the rest of the season, we can stop talking about it.

And people like you with your "couth be damned" attitude are ruining this forum. Yes, people just like you. I'm getting really tired of not calling people out on this crap when it is only a handful of people that perpetuate it.

I'm also not saying that this is an issue that should not be talked about. All I'm saying is that it does not need to be talked about in every single thread in the basketball forum. If I'm out of line, someone please tell me. All I know is that it has been a long time since I have seen a constructive, informative and civil thread in this forum, and quite frankly I'm sick of it.

Nobody's given this post the laugh emoticon it rightfully deserves.
