the women vs the men

Well now that the basketball season has started, a few things are readily obvious. First of all, our men's basketball team is horrible. I could probably pick up some guys playing at the rec and they would beat our team. The guards in particular look like they have no idea what the heck they are doing out there. Meanwhile, the women's squad is now 7-0, thats right, 7-0, and look like the best thing sportswise to hit Bowling Green this year. They havent even come close to losing a game yet. Which brings me to the forthcoming poll question above...

I don't know about you guys, but I say screw the men, I'm watching the women's team this year. They have a chance to be something special, maybe even the best team BG has ever had.

heaven forbid you support them both....

I do, however, think it's a great opportunity to get AA rockin' again for the ladies... at the very least for the big games that come along in conference play.

Well. seeing as I am already throwing my support behind the hockey team (big win tonight against St. Lawrence), its difficult to adequately support three teams at once. Thus, the women get priority. This does not mean I won't get out to some of the men's games, but nobody can make me stay when we are down 20 in the third quarter. I have to study too! Actually, if it was not for finals in two days I probably wouldn't in my dorm right now, but thats a different subject.

STUDY!?!? Where are your priorities!?!?!

Glad I got ya to clarify... you can never support enough when the tickets are free!

(cue "free vs. already in general fees costs" threadjack....now!)

If our Men's team is ever down 20 in the third quarter I'll give you a million bucks!

HAHAHAHAHA, hammb thats a great post, would you give me the same bet too? Its pretty safe for you unless the NCAA makes a drastic time keeping rule change.

Generally speaking, I would much rather watch men's basketball because I would rather look at a bunch of cute sweaty boys rather than girls, but this year is a little different. Our women's program is phenomenal! They work flawlessly, almost as if they can read each others' minds. They work hard to win at every game. I also love the physicality of the game. Now that football's over, I need some kind of harding action, so I get my fill at the hockey games and the women's basketball games because the girls are not afraid to hit or be hit by someone. They're tough and they're off to a great season. Good luck Lady Falcons!

That's funny... I heard the exact same sentence from Flipper just the other day...

Well, since I am in Illinois I cannot watch either. But I would rather watch a well coached and focused team over a poor coached and unfocused on any day of the week. If I were still close my trend of attending all women's games and a few men's games would continue. It will be a long season for our boys this year, and the coaching they are getting isn't helping. Ooops, I may have just blown a shot at winning a "Danny!"

Alright whoever said they cant support three teams and study.....I must say that is a bad excuse.....I support all four major sports, painting my face for every basketball (mens and womens) and football game, traveled to places like Kansas, as well as every MAC school, Purdue...blah blah and graduated in four years with a triple major....stop complaining and go to games you weenie!!!

When I was in school I never missed a home football game, missed < 5 home basketball games, missed < 5 home hockey games, went to MANY road games for all sports, and still managed to graduate Magna Cum Laude. It can be done, but I'm not here to tell anyone how to be a fan or whatever. We'd love to have the support for both the men's and women's team, but I never went to any women's games, so you I won't criticise the original poster or tell anyone how to be a fan.

I hope that is some exciting damn paint you're going to be watching if that is what you are watching instead of the ladies team.

Maybe you will change your tune when they are in the Elite Eight...

How about the both option?
