Moten ready to contribute

Post by edr4225 »

From Toledoblade article http://www.toledoblade.com/apps/pbcs.dl ... /512130403

He can shoot the basketball; he's a hungry scorer," Dakich said about Moten. "He's a kid who's experienced. Defensively, it'll be a little tough for him, but he knows how to play basketball, particularly on the offensive side of the ball."

Moten is eager to get on the court. The night of the Falcons' loss to Oakland a few weeks ago, Dakich was working later and discovered Moten shooting at 2 a.m. in Anderson Arena. He learned this is a regular habit for Moten.

I dont know about yall but im ready to see the tripe threat of moten, wright and samarco on the court. I think after a few games of these guys playing together, we will compete in the mac conference.

It was nice to finally read an article about the team that wasn't about another injury, or a suspension, or something like that. I for one am really excited about seeing Moten play. Being I was at Virginia when they recruited him, I'm anxious to see him at BG in orange and brown. I'm not looking for him to be a savior, but I am looking forward to him being a solid contributor....especially come MAC play. He can only help us get better. Now if there was only some way Sullivan could play this year too.

The 2am thing is very telling. Very impressive. This is the most hopeful piece that I've read on a Falcon newcomer in quite a while.

Please, no one tell him about the drunk co-eds at Uptown at that time of night. Keep him in the gym!

Not in this article, but on BGSUfalcons, there is a new article on Moten, stating that he is now eligible by NCAA. In that article it references McLeod and the fact that both players had similar beginings, (with the implied hope that Moten will be the second coming of McCleod, though If I'm not mistaken there can only be one MacLeod  )
