Next up, CMU, a must-win game for BG

I know it's our first MAC game of the year, but on paper, hosting CMU at home "should" be a victory for any team after what the Chips have shown so far this year. CMU just might be the weakest MAC team this season (we shall see), and we cannot let them come in here like they did last season and beat us on our home floor. It shouldn't have happened last year as it was a big upset and nearly cost us a MAC Tournament First Round home game, and it shouldn't happen this year either. I know we have a lot of games to go on the MAC schedule, but I think this game is one we can't let slip by and that we've got to win and start off the MAC slate on the right foot, because the MAC schedule is going to be a grind for us. If we can beat CMU, it'll give us three consecutive wins and a big boost of confidence as we start competing in the MAC. GO BG!!!

I hate to say must win this early in the season but this is a must win against a team that won't win more than 4 games in the conference.

EVERY game from now to the end of the season is a must win game for BG.
But 33 is right....we need to get off to a good start in the MAC.
BEAT CMU!

At home against CMU appears to be the easiest proposition that the MAC has to offer. It's a must-win in a sense. If we can't beat CMU at home, then what?

Bring back Urbana or ND?
I don't think we can take anyone lightly. When are students back on campus? What kind of crowd can we expect?

Students don't come back until the 9th. Well, that is when classes start.

Right. We say it every year how we can't take anyone lightly, but this year, it's never been more true. I don't think the students will be back until next Monday (January 9th). I'm guessing not much more than 1,000 in attendance with the students still gone and the Rose Bowl game that same night. But with all of that said, a BG win would be great. This is an important game for BG and we need a victory.
