Did anybody out here go to the game? I'd like to hear takes on the officiating and play of Erik and Matt.
Erik & Matt played 16 and 13 minutes, respectively, and both fouled out after grabbing 1 board apiece. Despite not having anything even vaguely resembling a post player for much of the game, we managed to win on the road against the best post player in the MAC and potential POTY.

I was there and the officiating was MAC quality...absolutely horrible, but for the most part went both ways. Lefeld's 5th foul was absolute bullsh**. Marschall's 4th and 5th fouls were also VERY questionable. I guess after watching the NIU and UT games that the officiating might have improved for once this year, but they proved me totally wrong last night.
We played real tough once again last night. I think we did a real good job of containing Bowler last night. That guy looks nothing like POY material. Samarco was huge last night as his points speaks for, but I think the player that really kept us going was Wright. Everytime EMU would make a run and get within a couple of points Wright would come down and hit a big shot to make sure we kept the lead.
And for anyone that attended the game last night, how horrible and annoying is their PA announcer!!! I was ready to strangle him by the first media time out.

MAC officiating is always horrible!!! Once they get whistle happy, you can bank on a free throw shooting contest to end the game. The call of the night was Lefeld's 5th for a charge. The ref was out of position, knew he walked, and then proceeded to call a push off. I can't wait until MAC Quaterfinal time, that's when you can fully see how brutal MAC refs can be in 4 straight games. Anyhow, this team is going to be hit or miss all year, but they play hard and have improved drastically in a few months.
