Erik Marshall commitment

Post by JBurton »

According to Vince Baldwin of PrepSpotlight.com, 6-7 Erik Marshall from New London has committed to Bowling Green. Can anybody provide some background information on Erik or a confirmation on this story?

All I found was that he went 18 PPG and 11 RPG. He's known as a 6'7 power forward, so the question is can he play 2 or 3 in the MAC, or is he in between?

I'd be interested what Option and others who follow HS sports know about him.

Aside from the kid from Eastwood, I also happen to work with a kid from New London . . . no kidding.

I have been told numerous times that he is a "banger" and the "best" they've had at New London.

That said, it's a D-3 school and who knows . . . I'll see if I can dig up some more either through work or searches . . .

I have a follow-up on the way . . .

Nah. This kids probably a 4. If he averaged 11 boards as a 6-7 junior, he'll be a 6-8 by the time he gets to BG. I'm looking forward to what Option digs up. He's become our site's recruiting guru.

Blockhead! Feel free to punch yourself. Better yet, go play in traffic or staple balony to your tongue. 8)

Erik Marschall- can play inside the paint and bang around with big guys. Also has nice outside shot/and moves. And the thing is he is 6'7" and still growing. He would probably be a 3 or 4. Hard for other teams to match up with because of his height and moves. Any other questions?

That's what we need. Most top teams in the MAC seem to have guys like this.

Marschall is one of the best players New London has ever seen. He is young for his class but no doubt will continue to develop into an even better player than he already is.

You only say that cause he's your brother Sarah  Actually I hope he is good along with the rest of the kids who start with him. This team has a great future it seems and I can't wait to actually see us suceed in the MAC tourney again!!!
