My family had a nice lunch there yesterday. I have to say it is a very nice addition to the list of places to eat in BG. They seem to have a location in Defiance already. Surprisingly large menu. Very good portions. Nice to see real fruit for the kids. Prices are very fair. I did not have any of the numerous large dinners, but there were more than a few. Many variety of steaks, seafood, etc.

They seem to be an instant hit locally, as I've not seen the parking lot even half empty most nights. Worth trying if you are in town.

I had the double sirloin cheeseburger, and have to say it was absolutely the best I've had in BG. Fresh copped sirloin, not just frozen patties. A couple of nice rolls and a bowl of scratch made chicken noddle soup which was itself excellent, also came with the meal. The fries were unique to any I've had in BG and were excellent. All that for $6.99. My 6 year old daughter had the kids spaghetti, and was unnerved by the "different" taste of the sauce. This was due to it being made on-sight, not from a can. It was a bit sweeter than she was used too. My son had the kids grilled cheese, but what we liked was that we had the option for a nice bowl of fresh fruit, such as Ben's Table had before. Grapes, two types of melon, fresh pineapple, etc.

The owners seem to be Greek, if that was who I in fact saw. The inside has been revamped extensively. The dividers are gone from Godfrey's/Ben's Table. The inside of brighter, cleaner, etc. The kitchen seems to have been expanded, and we got our food faster than many places given they were full. They had ample staff and service was quick. The place reminded me of a more refined version of "Charlie's" up in Perrysburg. I don't know of too many places with seemingly half a dozen types of $15.00 steak or seafood dinners. This place seems confident enough to do it. There are ample options beyond that obviously, but they don't seem shy about looking for people seeking a serious sit-down meal. The breakfast options seems appealing as well.

I loved the old Cosmos- banana pancakes were awesome. I'll have to try the new place.

I agree, they were excellent. And though I have heard rumor that this Cosmo's is related, having been there, I'm not so sure. I think it is more a case of this location being the second of their two restaurants, not that it is a sequel to the late coffee shop on Wooster. I did not think to look for pancakes on the menu.

If it's Cosmo's with an apostrophe it probably isn't related. Cosmos on Wooster was "comos" like the stars, not "Cosmo's" like a Greek guy owned it.

I don't recall off-hand. But then as most anybody here knows, I wouldn't know an apostrophe if you tattooed it on the back of my eye lids.

Ahhh...I noticed last time I was on that side of town that it had changed ownership again, but honestly I never even ate at Ben's Table, so not sure if I'll ever make it to this new place. Interesting to hear that it's good though, I may keep it in mind if looking for something new.

I ate at Ben's Table. Totally not impressed. The food was all comfort food, and it was all bland. They were only open for breakfast and lunch, and the elderly were the only consistent customers (probably why the food was bland). Definitely looking forward to trying this place.

I looked today when I went by and it is "COSMOS II", no apostrophe.
