Like Cincinnati is worth writing home.
I never said it was, I have heard of plenty of problems at Cincinnati sporting events, all I know is none have made national headlines like they Browns bottle throwing game back in 01 or the recent drunk Browns fan tackling the eight year old Jets fan a few weeks ago. With all the hype its getting it won't shock me if nothing happens, but with Cleveland's history and how they reacted when he left, I still say anything is possible

The stupidity of some human beings will never cease to amaze me so I won't be surprised if something happens.

Note that I couldn't care less about the situation and the NBA in general.

Well, LeDouche gave Cleveland a big 'ol s**t sandwich to chew on last night.

I still think it's a mistake to not have blown this team up completely after LeBron left. I have a tough time seeing a plan right now - lots of oldish players with almost no talented youth to build around. Hickson is showing his true colors this year without LeBron feeding him easy dunks and putbacks. Gibson and Sessions are decent, but too small to coexist. The veterans will play enough to maybe fight for the 8 seed and a first round shellacking, which is the worst possible outcome.

They do have some moveable parts and a hefty trade exception, so maybe they can improve their cap situation at the deadline, but as constructed, Cleveland is going to get more heaping doses of hell for the next few years at least.

Agreed.

That team proved for years they couldn't win it all with the best player on the planet. Why the hell would they want to keep that same bunch of players together to compete without him?

They should blow it up and clear as much cap space as they can, accumulate as many high picks as they can, and hope to get some draft picks right.

That team as it's constructed now is just good enough to prevent them from landing a top shelf player in the draft, but has no chance in hell of competing for a title.

It won't take much to add up. I do know metal detectors are very expensive and plus OT for the officers so it doesn't take long to add it all up. Police escort can't be cheap. I just say treat it as a regular game and what happens happens. I am not a LeBron fan and I have no reason him leaving Cleveland. I think Gilbert is a joke personally. And now he is going to runa casino??? I just think the comments of LeBron after he left was uncalled for. He had every right to leave. He fulfilled his commitment to the team.
Yes, he had every right to leave.

He also had every right to host a national TV show centered around his own narcissistic self that could quite obviously be seen as rubbing it in the faces of all of Cleveland, hometown, and the fans that supported him since he was making thousands for playing HS ball.

That doesn't mean that it was a good decision to do so, and he's going to have to live with the backlash. I don't think his life will be in danger, nor do I think anything will happen beyond some booing and choice comments for everybody's favorite #2 sidekick.

I laugh at LeBron now...even if they do go on to win titles he'll NEVER be MJ...he cemented his legacy as a #1 talent that doesn't have the guts/heart/leadership to be anything more than a #2.

Well said.

I'll go one step further and say he'll never even be Kobe.

I think it's fair to say he was only 2nd, or even 3rd best on the planet at this point. Kobe ahead for sure, and Lebron is now a sidekick to a player (Wade) who is arguably better as well.

I might disagree a bit on Hickson. He is extremely talented, as evidenced how he started the game last night. Nailing a 15 foot jump shot and then getting a defensive rebound and going coast to coast for a dunk. But then he disappeared. The talent is there, but he is just too inconsistent.

Other than that, I have to agree with what you said. Blow it up. Varejao has some value. And they might get something for Mo and/or Antwan.

No question he has considerable skills, but consistency is a talent as well. He is only 22, so he probably is still their most valuable player, but he's going to have to realize that half of basketball is defense. If you have no D at that position, you need to contribute a lot more than 11 and 6 on a bottom-feeder team.

He could end up being very good, but as a long-time, recovering Tyrus Thomas apologist, be careful judging players on talent alone.

I'm late to the show here but 5,000? Think about how ridiculous that sounds. That's like one in four people there was a cop. Man you could have robbed all of the Cleveland metro area that night outside of quicken loans. The president doesn't even get anything remotely close to this. Total guess here but I would say 50-75 more than normal.

And 3.6 million? Good to know one of their only sellouts of the season will lose them money. Hearing or reading something doesn't make it true.

I think the city of Cleveland would have a strong case against him....
