BGSU student found dead on campus

Sophomore Joseph Monroe, 20, died late this afternoon, according to an email sent by University President Mary Ellen Mazey at about 8 p.m.
He is from Wadsworth, Ill., and was a member of Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity, according to the email.
Monroe was found dead at the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity house after a 911 call was made at 4:30 p.m. today, said Robin Gerrow, chief communications officer at the University.
Police are investigating the incident, according to the email.
"I know this is a difficult time for the entire University community," Mazey said in the email.
Mazey included that counselors are available on campus and calls can be made this evening to the Link at 419-352-1545. The Counseling Center is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and can be reached at 419-372-2081.
Pi Kappa Alpha is hosting a candlelight vigil at 9 p.m. tonight in the Conklin courtyard.
R.I.P. Joe and hopefully he is in a better place now.
