Trotter's For Sale!

Post by Falcon Fanatic »

This was posted on their Facebook page:

Trotters Tavern

Happy Spring.. Congrats to all the recent college graduates...and thanks to all the firemen for yet another great fire school week at Trotters!

Well..now that word is getting around...we want to confirm that it is official. After 15 years of running Trotters, Kristi & Jill have decided that its time to move on! Mom and Dad bought Trotters in 1998 and its been en exciting journey full of ups and downs..but the journey ends this June...for us anyhow! We would like to see the business continue on and hope that a new owner will see it flourish for years to come. That being said...we are accepting "sealed bids" for the business, including the name, liquor license, recipes, equipment and a full staff minus Kristi & jill :) The actual building is currently leased, but we can secure an ongoing lease or possible purchase for the new owner. While Kristi & Jill plan to be done at the end of June...the restaurant could continue under new ownership without any down time.

Serious inquiries should be mailed as soon as possible to Trotters Tavern PO box 171 Bowling green, OH 43402. You can request further information by sending a private message to this page.

until then..we will continue with our "usual summer schedule" which includes closing for special events and holidays. See below for closings:

We will be closed Saturday May 25th through Monday May 27th to celebrate Memorial Day. We will re-open Tuesday May 28th

We will be closed Saturday June 1st so that our staff can celebrate as tow of our own celebrate the start to the rest of their life together. Congratulations Betsey & Michael!

Our last day of business with regular hours will be Thursday June 27th. We will open at 5pm and take food orders till 10:45 pm.

We will be closed to the public Friday June 28th from 5-9 for a private rehearsal dinner. WE will open for bar after 9pm.

And finally...we will be closed to the public for a private "friends and family only" event for Kristi and Jill on Saturday June 29th.
"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

Here is the updated post from Facebook posted about an hour ago:

Hello all, Jay and Paula Williams bought Trotters. We are from Bowling Green, we have two children (Jessica and Andrew) and own a Bar and Grill in Perrysburg. We are very excited to have another venture in BG.
We have not changed the menu, and do not plan to change it for a few months, we have been busy making changes in the structure and flow of the restaurant. We have refinished the wood floors, fixed all of the chandeliers, re-routed the servers and their service station, and given the place a good summer cleaning.
We are very thankful to the Contris family, the Newlove family, and all of our friends for their help and support. "Kristi keep answering all those questions through text! We greatly appreciate your help!"
Please come in and take a look and have a Jug, we look forward to meeting the "Trotters Family".
