7:30 AM Tuesday morning. South suburbs of Dayton.

We have ice - probably 1/8" to 1/4" thick..... all schools are closed. Snow expectations are only 1-3". But the ice is enough to eff things up.

Film of people sliding into inanimate objects at 11:00.

Almost everything is closed up here, but I'm sitting in my office at BGSU because we're still open. We got around 4" I'd say. I would have to check out the news to be sure. The drifting has caused more problems than anything else. My trip to work this morning took 30 minutes instead of 18-20, and I have 4-wheel drive. It took my wife 47 minutes to make the same trip that normally takes 18-20.

Agree H2O. I actually enjoy shoveling snow...great workout.

We got a crapload of ice last night but not much snow here in the Akron area.

Is a crapload of ice comparable to a shi*load of dimes? Somebodies got to go back and get a shi*load of dimes.

Hey...f**ck you guys!! :finga: I've shoveled 7 or 8 inches of snow off of all 450ft or so of my driveway and will do so again in the future...when I'm done healing. :-)

We got about 4-5 inches of snow here in Strongsville last night, and the freezing rain started coming at about 5:30 or 6 this evening, doesn't show any signs of stopping. It looks like we're at the mercy of the temperature because we're going to get rained/sleeted/iced/snowed on all night, the precipitation stretches back into Missouri.

Schools are already cancelling for tomorrow the night before, you know it's bad when that happens.

Its Wednesday morning... it got up to 38-40 degrees last night with sustained 20-30 MPH winds. This caused ice to be flung off the trees - hitting the roof like gravel for most of the night.

This morning.... down in the upper 20's and the wind is still going. We have a lot of power outages and downed trees. The hope is that last nights warm weather and wind shook most of the ice off power lines and trees as to reduce anymore issues.

Reporting from the south suburbs of Dayton.......... and glad I'm not near Flipper to hear his cursing as he progresses down his 450 foot long drive...... I'm Tech83.

What a sissy storm. Left for work at 6 expecting to battle through drifts and ice- cruised at 60 all the way and people were passing me. Warm with very little wind. How this thing is a level three is beyond me. Can't wait for the influx of calls from people who can't get in due to the "terrible" conditions. I'm sure it was worse to the north and maybe to the south but here in Toledo its all good. Well, it ain't the "storm to beat all storms" as advertised, just your basic NW Ohio "Welcome, February" greeting.

6 inches of snow. Very heavy snow though due to the hour or so of sleet early this morning. Time to head to UM. Unlike those state schools around us (Looking at you MSU and EMU) we're still open.

MSU doesn't need as many days to teach students more stuff. That's why they're MSU and UM isn't.

We have about 5-6 inches of heavy snow...real fun cleaning out the dog run. It has a solid six foot high fence with no gate so the only way to get the snow out is to pick it up and heave it.

I took the day off. I probably could have made it in, but my wife insisted that I call off. Since I wasn't going into work at 5:00, I decided to take the entire morning off from school. We'll see how I feel this afternoon.

I take back all those "real men" comments, Flipper. If you have a dog run with a six foot high fence and no gate I am impressed beyond words. Not only with you but with your high jumping dog- I know you have those little buggers and for one of them to go 6' is amazing. So, you have the dog jump over, then you jump over, throw out all the snow, dog does his business, you jump back out(with no real room for an approach) and then the dog jumps after you? I feel totally inadequate. I'm the kind of wuss that would have put a gate in at some point.
