To me, this game will tell if the Browns really are turning the corner or not. They had that great come back win last week, but are they getting too caught up in that and not focusing ahead? And the Steelers really aren't that good. This is a game the Browns have to win if they want to be taken serious. In fact, they should win this game handily. Will they? I douby it, they are still the Browns.

My thoughts exactly warthog. Its the browns and I just suspect they've been patting themselves on the back for beating a terrible titans team rather than prepping for this game.
Plus no Phil Taylor and likely no Haden. Defense has been awful already, that's not gonna help. I'm already sick of the ryan defense style.

They have more talent than the Steelers.

I don't think it's a stretch though. The Browns have a great stable of RBs and one of the top OLs in the NFL. Cameron can be a great TE if he could get healthy. Obviously Ben and Antonio Brown are better than what Cleveland has, and Bell is awesome, but I think the Browns have more offensive depth. Defensively Pittsburgh just isn't the same. Their defense is playing much better than Cleveland's because LeBeau's scheme is awesome, and Pettine can't get this talented squad to figure his scheme out. On pure talent though I think the Browns might actually have more than the Steelers.
I still don't think they'll win.

Just a reminder that you were wrong.hammb wrote:I still don't think they'll win.
I picked a pretty good week to venture out to the Browns Backers spot to watch. Woof.

Being wrong never felt so great. Holy s**t that was awesome. I've been waiting for a LONG time to see the Browns not just eek out a victory against Pittsburgh, but flat out kick their asses. And yesterday they did just that.TG1996 wrote:Just a reminder that you were wrong.hammb wrote:I still don't think they'll win.![]()

As I said in my post earlier, the Browns are the more talented team. And this with one of the best WRs in the league chomping at the bit to get back into the game. Yesterday they PLAYED like the more talented team, and it was freaking awesome to see. If they can ever put 4 quarters together in a row (yesterday was 3, which is improvement), they can be a playoff team. Hoyer is no world beater, but he finds the open guys and gets the ball in their vicinity...which just might be enough the way they run the ball.
Losing Mack for the year kinda sucks, but oh well I'm enjoying watching this team grow. And if they can ever get Johnny to do the stuff Hoyer does, in combination with his better arm and athleticism, he could be great in this scheme. Of course he has to show a willingness to learn, which might be a stretch...
