The craziest thing to happen to me I think ever!

So last night I went to Cleveland to see Trace Adkins and Toby Keith in Concert. What happened there and what has happened since made me just wanna share this with you all here. I sing country music around NW Ohio at lots of local bars and have been doing this on and off for the past 4 years. Most of the time I have people come up to me and say things like "You need to try out for American Idol" or "You need to go to Nashville". Usually I would just take the nice complements but I really never saw myself ever being able to make it far at all.
Yesterday, like I said before I went to see Trace Adkins and Toby Keith up at the Blossom Music Center in Cuyahoga Falls National Park by Akron. When we got there I had to use the bathroom REALLY REALLY BAD! My wife, sister in law and I headed over to the porta potties and when we got there we noticed there was a Ford Truck that was set up like a stage using the bed as a stage (this was Toby's Built ford tough tour). My wife kept telling me I should sing. Problem was there were A LOT of people around booing the other singers (some were actually half ways decent). Finally after the 100th time of asking me I finally went up there, I knew I would at least get a free shirt out of it.
When I first started singing I heard the crowd go nuts. They actually thought I was Toby Keith! The crowd was going nuts! After this I thought nothing could get any better. We had lawn seats way out in BFE and it was hard to see anything. After Toby Keith had been playing for awhile we started heading up the hill and just stood around were there weren't so many drunks. I notice this guy staring at me for about 10 minutes. I was getting a little paronid thinking he was looking to rob us or something (It didn't help he was wearing all black). He came up to us and asked if we were sober. I replyed that I had not drank anything but water all day. He then said "I am a GM here at Blossom Music Center and I noticed you guys were up here and I was wondering, are you big fans of Toby?" Well of course I said yes (which I am). He then said "I have 4 VIP tickets here and they are yours if you would like to go down there". I couldn't believe it. I thought there was a scam involved but I took the tickets and low and behold it was no scam at all. We got to sit 2 rows from the stage for over half the show. It was unbelieveable.
To end this little story of mine, this morning my wife was looking up the Karaoke contest for Country Concert. The winner gets to open up for Trace Adkins down in Ft. Laramie Ohio. I am now in the contest and will begin singing in Cygnet. If I win that part of the contest there, I get to move on to Ft. Laramie to the finals. I am so excited for this. I think I may have a chance. I just wanted to post this on here because well I am just that excited and also, I hope to get some prayers for me lol. This has been a dream of mine for a long time. To be able to sing in front of a large crowd. I hope this Falcon Fanatic can make it there!
Oh by the way. While I was singing yesterday I was wearing all orange and after I sang I heard a few people singing Ay-ziggy-zoomba. That was AWESOME!
Sorry for such a long post. I just really wanted to share this story with the Falcon Nation!
GO BG!
