This probably means that in Ohio, we will be treated to the Ball State vs. Northern Illinois type games. I will be surprise if SportsTime Ohio actually puts Ohio teams on.

I would actually expect a heavy dose of Kent and Akron games due to the geography.

I love STO...the pro wrestling and MMA block that runs on Sunday is fun....as are the weird guys taking calls from dumbass viewers shows. Beer money is a great idea if you like watching drunks trying to win $20 by remembering who the Tribe dealt to get Tom Veryzer

I moved from Columbus to Troy (near dayton) about a year ago. Time Warner doesn't seem to carry STO here which stinks. Even though I'm not missing much, I miss watching tribe games.
Now hearing that I could watch an extra MAC game or two, I am more bummed. I'd rather watch any MAC game whether it involves BG or not, than most televised BCS conference games. Anyone know who to pester about this?

You can try contacting Time Warner but I'm betting they don't carry it due to that being a Reds territory.

Time Warner sux. period.
Good luck contacting them. It won't do any good, unfortunately.
(Been there, done that!)

Looks like STO will be slooooooowly easing their way into MAC coverage, with only 3 football games currently scheduled. I like the fact that they're planning to air 33 basketball games, though. Hopefully they are looking to increase the amount of football games in 2011 and beyond.

It's great that some station decided to really partner up with the MAC. The "coverage" that FSN Ohio carried was mediocre at best. Seeing as there is no way the MAC could afford to have their own network like the Big11/12/13/16?, it is nice to see that any station signed a deal. I expect to see a couple games every Saturday in the 2011 season. As for 2010, I guess I'll just have to travel as much as I possibly can!!!

Definitely make sure to watch the MAC games when they're on. If you want them to carry more of the games, they need to pull in decent ratings on the games they do show this coming season.

Maybe it's just me, but I guess I'm a bad MAC fan.
I try to watch these other games when they're on, but the MAC in recent years has just been bad football. Very few compelling matchups and very few players that make me want to watch the games. Obviously I'm a huge BG fan and I'll watch every single chance I get (if I can't be at the games), but the rest of the MAC games are just boring to me.
I find it VERY difficult to watch some random MAC game when there are countless games on the major networks that offer better teams, better matchups, and better players.
Glad the MAC is trying to get more coverage, but until the product improves, I find it pretty tough to watch.
