Class 8 mega killer death storm for Tues/Weds...

Post by Flipper »

Snow, ice, wind, TV news reporters forced to stand outside to tell us it's snowing...I have a snowthrower and a generator, so bring it snow bitches

No snowthrower, but I do have ergonomically correct snow shovel. Maybe I shouldn't have told the wife I was tired of getting these stupid 1/2 inch snow storms. 17 inches should be fun. Glad I've paid for the parking garage at work though.

Sissies use snowthrowers. Move that stuff with your back and legs. Of course by the time I go out to do that, my neighbor who got a blower for Xmas , has usually done the whole block.

PGY...you city slickers up there in Pittsfield have that sweet Sam's Club right off the freeway. You can stock up on 50lb drums of peanut butter and cases of toilet paper...with those kind of provisions you could stay holed up until May.

And H2O...I have cleared 6-7 inches of snow by hand. But the plate in my left arm has now given me an excuse to use the snowthrower...it's like a handicap tag on a car.. :-)

Good point Flip. Might be a good thing that I'm in just down the road from that Sam's Club. I could stock up on 15 gallon jars of pickles, which in addition to eating the pickles, I could use the brine solution to salt my drive way and keep it clear.

Oooh..good idea. Maybe you should pick up one or two of the 25lb cans of beets. Beet juice is supposed to amplify the effects of road salt.

On top of the 18 inches we have on the ground already, we're looking at a combination of sleet and freezing rain here on the East Coast. And a lot of it. Yep, we're screwed six ways to Sunday.

It's official. I hate winter.

A real man would pull the plate out of his arm and clear the snow with THAT!

You'll have to forgive me, I finally got to see "127 Hours" yesterday.

I have a feeling we will be snowed in for a few days. I live right next to a field in the middle of nowhere and my front door faces to the west. I may have to DIG my way out of the house tomorrow lol. Thank god we finally decided to buy a new shovel last night!!

H2O...the plates only about 5-6 inches long. It's take me until April to clear my driveway with tht thing. Besides..I'm using to hold my arm together.

Lowry...open field...westward facing door..yep, you're screwed. Unless Wood county get's more ice than snow.

Well, like I said- nobody with two arms gets any sympathy from me after watching "127 Hours".

well H20, Since you live close to me maybe you can come over and shovel my driveway and sidewalks for 127 hours with one arm and let me know if you deserve sympathy.....hehe.

Blizzard of 78 didn't take me 127 hours. I am a huge fan of snow removal technology and tend to rely on a solar powered method. It requires no arms so even Aron Ralston could do it. And Lowry, you just got married. Only two reasons I can think of to do that. Having your wife shovel snow is the other one.

1. Cooking

2. Cleaning

3. Laundry

I come up with three, not one...wait....

4. Bringing me a beer from the fridge

That would be four.

Well after heading back from Grumpy Dave's after Euchre Night tonight at 10:30pm the snow was already at about 1/2-3/4 of an inch. Good luck everybody!
