Downloading MP3's to Android System Phones

I bought the HTC THunderbolt the other day and have been playing around with it (since the owners manual was totally inadequate).

I am trying to get some ringtones put on it (like AZZ and Forward Falcons). When I send the MP3's to myself, I am unable to save them (or maybe I should say "I don't know how to save them to the phone").

The music will play, but I have no idea as to how to save them.

Anyone?

Bueller?

Anyone?

On my Optimus I just tap and hold on the file I receive and I'm able to save it. Verizon may have things blocked so you have to use their software ($$$$) to but on additional ringtones.

Plug it into your computer via USB, choose to attach the phone for mass storage, transfer the song from your computer to the phone's SD card, set it as your ringtone, and that should do it.

What MarkL said...you should also be given the option to "Trim" your ringtone so it's the portion of the song you want. 30 seconds is usually adequate.
