A great line from a classic sound of the season...

"...Maybe just a cigarette more."
My guess is the dame stayed with Dino.
I just realized there weren't really that many of these songs that mention drinking, smoking and a maiden aunt with a vicious mind.
Merry Christmas.

My favorite line to misquote totally out of context is from "The Christmas Song".
"Everybody knows a turkey ..."
Heck, I know lots of them!!!
Here's a fun game: "In Santa Baby" the singer wants Santa to slip a sable under the tree. Ask people what a sable is, and then try to find the age line where people know it's a fur or think it's a car.
The car comes in the second verse when she asks for a '54 convertable - light blue.

I think that dividing line has more to do with intelligence/education since my 15 year old daughter knows the right answer but my 45 year old sister-in-law doesn't.

This guy is a good age barometer. If you're an old guy like me...That's KITT's voice on
Knight Rider.
If you're 5 or so years than me...he's Dr. Mark Craig from
St Elsewhere. 15 or so years younger and he's George Feeny from
Boy Meets World. (did they ever make a porn version called
Boy Meats World?...if not, they shoulda)
20-25 years younger than me? Who gives a crap whqt you think...you're a punk kid...

Definitely Mr. Feeny to my grown kids.
For me, he was John Adams in the movie "1776" and then Dr. Craig from St. Elsewhere, which was full of small names which were destined to become big names.
If you're writing the script for that movie, maybe you could find a reason for the cast of Hang Time to play some basketball? (There's probably a porn movie joke related to that title, too, but let's not go there, shall we?)

I remember 1776...good movie for a musical. The greatest thing on St Elsewhere was when Warren Coolidge from the White Shadow appeared on the show. Same actor playing the same guy on two shows 10 0r so years apart....that was cool

St. Elsewhere was like that.
Dr. Craig went to Philadelphia to see a specialist about his hand. His wife mentioned that he never sang to her anymore and he burst into song - one of his tunes from 1776. Seems like the radio was always playing something relevant to the action. Also last show - it ain't over 'til the fat lady sings. Out of the room walks the viking - helmet clad opera singer who had showed up earlier.
Great show!
